Georgia

The Methodist Home provides multi-faceted residential care at several sites in South Georgia to address the needs of abused, neglected and abandoned children across the state of Georgia. We provide a continuum of care, including our Lighthouse for Families counseling services and HOPE Foster Care. Services include: residential care, foster care, in-home intervention, wraparound services, child care, independent living, transitional living, higher education support, comprehensive child and family assessments, home evaluations and on-campus education.

Field Directors, Blessing Home Centers -Thailand Now

Thailand Now exists to be catalysts, to assist Thai Christian churches and organizations to multiply and to thrive in fulfilling the Great Commandment, Great Commission, and the Great Jubilee.

David and Allie serve as field directors for the Blessing Home Centers, which work to save and protect vulnerable children from being trafficked in the sex and drug trades. Blessing Home Center leaders are trained to identify children and youth who are at-risk. Then, seeking God’s wisdom, power, and strength, we share the love of Christ in practical, life-building ways. Blessing Home Centers work in partnership with local churches
to prevent at-risk children from being trafficked in the sex and drug trades,
by providing scholarships for children to go to school; after-school instruction in Bible and life skills; tutoring in English and other school subjects; home visits; training for guardians, and foster-care support as needed.

Serving with TMS Global in Peru

  Arthur and Mary Alice have been serving in Peru as missionaries  with TMS Global since 2001. Their son Joshua and his wife, Rocio, and their sons, Stephen and Noah, currently live in Huancayo, Peru. Their daughter, Mary Beth,  and her sons, Dominic and Royce, live in the  Marietta, Georgia area.

Arthur has a strong call to disciple youth and adults in small groups and to train the Peruvians to do the same for others.  Mary Alice has a call to minister to children through Kid’s Clubs, to evangelize, and to see people set free through prayer.  They also work with teams that come from the states that do evangelism, discipleship, Christian business training, and medical campaigns in different places in Peru.  Their hearts’ desire is to see people set free in Christ so that they can do what He has called them to do.

Renewal Team, Kenya - Serge Global

George and Martha Mixon served in Kenya from 1994 until 2021. George's main ministry for many years has been in training Kenya pastors and leaders in Bible storying. However, the Mixons first lived among and worked with the Maasai people on a church planting team where George served as a veterinarian. After taking time out for George to complete seminary, the Mixons returned to Kenya in 2004 to join Serge's church planter training team.

In June 2021 George and Martha moved their home base to Milledgeville, Georgia, from which George serves on the Serge Renewal team, continuing to work mostly in Bible storying. He makes several long trips per year to Kenya to help the CBS team there and to other countries to help other Serge teams incorporate Bible storying into their Gospel-centered ministries. Martha is now serving on Serge's Member Care team, seeking to help missionaries and their families in various parts of the world thrive in their lives and ministries.
