SENIOR PASTOR

Since graduating from NC State, Pastor John has been a man on the move. Costa Rica, California, and Florida have been homes for him as a missionary, pastor, and church leader. Along the way the Lord blessed John with a Georgia girl, Amy, and two boys, Zach and Mac, to share in the adventure of following Jesus. Through his journeys the Lord instilled a love for God’s people and God’s mission in John, which led him into the Global Methodist Church in North Georgia. John is passionate about helping people discover how their story fits into God’s story and empowering the disciples of Jesus to make His love known in our world, starting right here in Thomaston.

ASSISTANT PASTOR FOR YOUTH AND COMMUNICATIONS

Originally from Plain City, OH, Caleb comes from a long line of Methodist pastors. Although still in college, attending Asbury University online, Caleb has ministered in a variety of contexts since graduating high school. Caleb married the love of his life, Cate, in 2024 and they could not be more excited to build their family here in Thomaston. Caleb is passionate about holiness, building community, and helping others discover their calling as they grow in relationship with Jesus.

PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR

My name is Lauren Hoyal and I am enthusiastic to be the Preschool Director at TFMC Preschool. With a deep passion for education, a commitment to fostering student growth, and my love for Jesus, I believe this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping the children in our community.

I was raised here in Thomaston where I met my High School sweetheart Perry Hoyal. We have two beautiful children, Vada and Paxton. I have a Masters in Elementary Education from Valdosta State University, and I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Thomaston Upson Arts Council.

My plan is to create an atmosphere and culture of love and growth. We want your child to be successful and through our amazing program we hope they gain not only knowledge but also a love for Jesus.

Blair is a graduate of Mercer University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Theatre Arts with a minor in Christianity. He earned his Master of Divinity from the McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta and his Film Production Certification from the Georgia Film Academy. Blair has been privileged to work in church ministry for over 25 years running sound, lights, and video as well as working with children and youth. Blair is an Eagle Scout.
